The role of the CDFA professional is to help both the client and lawyer understand how the financial decisions made today will impact the client’s financial future, based on certain assumptions.
A CDFA professional is someone who comes from a financial planning background and goes through an intensive training program to become skilled in analyzing and providing expertise related to the financial issues of divorce.

Able to Apply Biblical Wisdom in Counsel, by successfully completing the rigorous Certified Kingdom Advisor coursework and examination.
Technically competent, by providing evidence of an approved professional designation, such as the CFP®.

Retirement Income certified professional
An RICP® designee is trained to understand how to structure effective retirement income plans, how to mitigate risks to the plan, and how to create sustainable stream of income to last throughout a client’s retirement years.
The designation requires three college-level courses with anticipated total study and preparation time of 150 hours. Three years of full-time, relevant business experience is required, and every two years the designee must complete 30 hours of continuing education. The designation is awarded through The American College, an accredited non-profit educational institution since 1927.
